Step 1: Log into Moodle & Access Panopto


        1. Log into Moodle 

        2. Open a New Browser: Go to your institution’s Panopto site:  lsua.hosted.panopto.com



Step 2: Create a Video

  1. Once logged in, click “Create” in the top menu.

  2. Choose “Panopto Capture” for a browser-based recording.

  3. Check your camera and microphone, ensure it is on. Click the Red Button to Record your video and the Red Button again to end your video.

  4. Your recording will begin to upload - please allow for the green bar to reach the end (this could take some time, please be patient before clicking out/exiting the Panopto upload screen).

  5. Name your recording clearly (e.g., “Group 3 – Project Presentation”).

  6. You may exit the Panopto upload screen.



Step 3: Find Your Video Link

  1. Go to My Folder in Panopto - on the lsua.hosted.panopto.com page

  2. Click on your video to open it.

  3. Click on the Share icon (top right of the video)

  4. IF YOUR INSTRUCTOR CANNOT VIEW YOUR VIDEO, follow these steps:  "Who can access this video" Click on Change, select "Your Organization"

  5. Click on "Copy Link" 



Step 4: Submit Your Video

  • Paste the copied link into your Moodle assignment or wherever instructed.



Tips:

  • Test your microphone and camera before recording.

  • Keep videos concise and focused on the assignment requirements.

  • Check your link permissions—if your instructor can’t view it, your grade may be affected. Refer to number 4 in Step 3: Find your Video Link.
