You can decide which notifications you want to receive, how frequently, and from whom.

Customize how you are alerted for things like responses to questions you've posted, responses to conversations you are following, topics you are following, new posts from your classmates, or resources or posts added to the community by the moderators.

You can even specify which topics you'd like to receive notifications for. So, if you're done with a topic, you can stop notifications without missing out on new items about the things you are still interested in.

Manage Notifications from within InScribe

1. From InScribe site, click on your profile dropdown and select Notification Settings (please note that your profile isn't available within an LMS integration, like Canvas, D2L, or Blackboard, so you'll need to launch into the full InScribe experience)

2. Select the actions for which you would like to alerted and how frequently, and click Save Changes (you might need to scroll down to see it).

We recommend getting alerted to new posts in the community so you don’t miss new conversations coming in or at the very least, posts from your moderators

Daily Digests go out around 5:00 PM Mountain Time.

  • For Your Posts and Resources: You can specify how you'd like to be notified if someone responds to your posts or a post that you have participated in or followed.
  • For New Conversations and Resources: You can also decide how you want to be notified if other people in the community post. You can have different notification settings for conversations started by your peers or conversations started by your moderators.
  • Messages for the InScribe Platform: This notification is used to send you messages from the system, like a notice if you've achieved a new reputation level if your community uses reputation. Keep this on if you'd like to be notified about those kinds of things.

Manage Notifications from your Email

You can also update notification settings from email notifications. Just click on "Unsubscribe / Update Preferences" at the bottom of your email and you will be prompted with various settings. It's more than an unsubscribe, it's also let's you manage notifications quickly.
