MonitorEDU is a live proctoring service that some instructors at LSUA use to proctor their exams.
Sessions must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. Availability is limited. If you miss the scheduling window, you will be placed in the walk-in queue and assisted only after all scheduled appointments have been completed.
General Instructions Before Getting Started
- Navigate to https://monitoredu.com/faq and scroll down to "To Test Your Internet". It is important that you follow the test instructions to ensure your Internet connectivity is acceptable for the actual exam.
- Test your webcam. Plug in your webcam and navigate to https://www.monitoredu.live/practice and click Submit to launch a video and click Start Video Chat. Your browser may prompt you to allow Camera and Microphone. Please allow to proceed. Make sure you can see yourself in the camera and if you can, then you are good and can close the page.

LSUA – Scheduled Exam Instructions
Students enrolled in courses at LSUA who are required to take a proctored exam should schedule their exam appointment with MonitorEDU using the link below:
** Once your email is scheduled, should you need to reschedule, you will need to use the link provided to you in the confirmation email**

Scheduling Your Exam
Prepaid Codes: If you have been provided with a prepaid code by the university, enter it during scheduling to waive the payment section.
Multiple Exams: Each exam must be scheduled separately.
To take multiple exams back-to-back, select two consecutive time slots and complete the scheduling process for each exam individually.
After Scheduling
Upon submitting your scheduling form, you will receive a confirmation email. This email will include:
Appointment ID: Required for check-in on test day (this replaces the receipt number previously used).
Unique Access Link: To join the proctoring queue (this link is specific to scheduled exams and differs from the standard exam access link).
Important: It is essential to use the correct access link from your confirmation email. Using an incorrect link may result in delays in starting your exam.
Preparing for Exam Day
Review Policies:
Carefully review all MonitorEDU testing policies included in your confirmation email.Testing Environment Setup:
Quiet, private location
Clean desk space
Remove all unauthorized materials
Unplug, power down, and cover any additional monitors and TV’s.
Connecting to Your Exam
At the time of your exam:
Use the link provided in your confirmation email to join the queue.
Enter your Appointment ID when prompted.
You will be guided through the setup process:
Connect your mobile phone, webcam, and screen share.
The proctor will verify your ID and check for authorized materials.
Once correctly set up, the proctor will provide your exam access code.

NOTE for MAC Users:
If you’re on a mac there are times where you must allow Google Chrome permission by going into system preferences, Privacy and Security, Screen, and System Audio Recording and make sure Google Chrome is allowed. If that doesn’t work, you can open the Google Meet in Safari and it doesn’t require permissions to share the screen.
Once you are connected to a Proctor, the proctor will walk you through the rest of the steps to begin taking your exam.

Placed in the Queue to Await testing
If you are placed in the queue to test, the following messages will appear at the 1, 10, 20 and 30 minute marks. It is imperative that you remain in the chat/queue. Leaving and rejoining will move your spot further down the testing list.
