Command Your Career (CYC) is LSUA’s career readiness and professional development program designed to help you connect your education to your future career. Whether you’re exploring options, preparing for graduation, or seeking internships, CYC provides the tools, resources, and experiences you need to take charge of your career journey.

1. Getting Started

Step 1: Access Command Your Career

  • Log in to your MyLSUA account.

  • Click the “Degree Navigator” link on your dashboard or under “Student Resources.”

  • You will be redirected to the Degree Navigator Dashboard - right hand block with the STARS - click on the CYC link.



Step 2: Set Up Your Profile

  • Complete your career interests and skills assessment.

  • Upload your resume or create one using the built-in templates.

  • Update your contact information and major to ensure accurate job and event recommendations.

2. Explore Opportunities

Internships & Jobs

  • Browse local, regional, and national listings tailored to LSUA students.

  • Use filters to find remote, part-time, or degree-specific positions.

Career Events

  • View upcoming career fairs, resume workshops, and employer spotlights hosted by LSUA.

  • Register directly through the CYC event calendar.

3. Build Your Skills

Career Modules

  • Complete short, interactive modules on:

    • Resume writing

    • Interview preparation

    • Networking strategies

    • Professional communication

Career Coaching

  • Schedule an appointment with a Career Advisor through the portal.

  • Receive feedback on resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles.

4. Track Your Progress

  • Earn career readiness badges for completing milestones.

  • Track your development in areas like communication, teamwork, and leadership.

  • Your dashboard will show completed and upcoming tasks.

5. Connect with Employers

  • Use the Employer Directory to explore LSUA’s partner organizations.

  • Attend virtual or on-campus career fairs to meet recruiters.

  • Follow employers for updates on new openings and events.
